Evening Mood (Humeur Nocturne) is an 1882 painting by William-Adolphe Bouguereau, now in the collection of the Havana's Museum of Fine Arts, in Cuba. The painting represents a woman who is almost naked with a veil over her back and her legs not completely hiding her lower private parts.
Bouguereau created many paintings and Evening Mood is one of his exceptional achievements in his painting profession. The painting describes the lady standing on a rock on the beach.
The artist used dark colors on the clouds in the background to appear the fading sunlight and moon appearing on the horizon to depict the evening mood. like many other artists during his time, he made a careful study of technique and form to come up with a classical painting and sculpture.
This painting was carefully planned so that the viewer can read the artist's message fast.

Reproduction of oil painting is very expensive and a time taking process. The completed painting requires at least a week for drying completely. After that, we apply two layers of protective coating to secure the painting from dust and mold. Only completely dried painting can apply a coating or the painting will be damaged. The process of painting may take more than 4 weeks to 6 weeks based on the size and complexity.
For stretching, We will add a 1.6" additional white canvas border on all four sides for stretching purposes. We do not provide stretched canvas due to several issues. We cannot take the risk of damage while shipping. Also, there are size limitations for sending framed canvas. Shipping a large-sized stretched canvas might cost more than a painting itself. So we suggest you find a nearby local shop for the framing process.
