Caravaggio Paintings
Caravaggio
Caravaggio was born on 29 September 1571 in Milan. He was an Italian artist who lived in Rome for most of his life. During the final four years of his life, he relocated between Naples, Malta, and Sicily until his death. His paintings have been characterized by art critics as a mixture of realistic observation of the human state, both physical and feeling, with a dramatic use of lighting, which had a developing influence on Baroque painting.
